"Dreamkeeper" by Thomas Juzwaik, ASCAP
Dedicated to Juzwiak’s nephew, “Dreamkeeper” takes the listener on a ride through fast and slow, loud and soft, simple and interweaving melodies. The powerful introduction gives way to a very melodic first part. Powerful chords introduce the second section. Again, very melodic with moving harmonies below. Before long the two sections are playing together in an “instrumental” dance. Remnants of the beginning leads the band to a quiet end. Listen for the cue that tells us it is bedtime and time to once again “Dream”. A nice challenge for a high school band.
