“March of the Evers" is a wonderful beginning march that not only teaches students about the march style but is entertaining to student and audience alike.
DIRECTOR NOTE: Perfect for young middle schoolers or even perhaps 2nd year players. The ranges are very modest. The clarinets stay below the break, the trumpet’s highest note is “C”, the horn only goes up to “G”. Some simple syncopation that is repeated throughout. I tried to give the bass line a lot to do to keep them engaged and the snare drum is quite busy.
A wonderful opener or closer. Students will have fun playing this offering.
