"Memoriam" for Cathy by Thomas Juzwiak, ASCAP
“Memoriam” is a solemn piece of music which will test your student’s ability to play with control and emotion. The key elements to master are pitch, intonation, blend, balance and phrasing. A song not to be rushed through, musicianship is the focus. Combined with a beautiful melodic line and it’s peaks and valley’s through the use of dynamics “Memoriam” will give the audience “goosebumps” and perhaps bring some to the brink of tears. This high school level composition is wonderful as a stand alone concert piece or perfect for any type of memorial service.
