"Once Again"
       by Thomas Juzwiak, ASCAP

Composer's Note:

“Once Again” is a slow, steady, haunting study in sonorities. It starts with a lone chime that fades away. Then two contrasting instruments, the flute and oboe, share a duet. Soon the clarinets enter. This piece plays on some of the odd combinations of instruments that are at a composers disposal.

The ranges are at the top of moderate. The horns do go up to a 5th line “F”, as does the 1st trumpet. All clarinets go over the break. The song can be deceptive at times, ending a phrase on a “not so anticipated” chord."

Get ready to embark on a musical journey into uncharted territory, abundant with rich harmonies and a multitude of textures. The melody moves along with rhythmic interactions and catchy melodic motives as though following the terrain of a rich landscape. Everyone in the ensemble has an important role in the musical discoveries and can use their imagination to create their own musical expedition.
