“Phantasmagoria” by Nicole Buetti
Phantasmagoria – The Haunted Carnival is a perfect piece for October concerts. It sets the tone for the Halloween season and is not another “Harry Potter” homage. This piece is spooky, unique, fun and whimsical and features each section of the band. The piece also features whispering effects and the eerie flexitone. Phantasmagoria – The Haunted Carnival begins slow and scary as the ghosts and Phantoms gather and turns into a full on spirit festival. This piece was a commissioned work by Jared Crump-Bertram and the Century Middle School Band in Denver.
